Blabble Gives Photos a Voice

In the social network facebook new applications are as common as geese in a park but every once in awhile one appears that’s kind of fun, and potentially useful. Blabble is one of these.

Blabble allows you to add text bubbles to photos and other images stashed away in your facebook albums. If you use Photoshop you know that adding text to images is simple but Blabble allows you to caption away without having to buy, and learn to use, high end software. (Alexandra is wired to Photoshop but editing photos is part of her job – Blabble is not image editing software.)

Blabble can be used for more than just turning your snaps into cartoons; the app can also be used to include pertinent information in your pics. Think about the caption balloons which pop up on Google maps, or adding “For Sale, Cheap” to photos of items you’re trying to move through facebook’s marketplace. Just use your imagination. I’ve used Blabble to document the ongoing surveillance of the Angelina’s Wings facility in downtown Toronto.

Like most facebook photo apps once you're finished adding captions to your photos you can tuck them away into your Blabble album, share them with friends, or post them to Blabble’s public gallery where other users can marvel at your witty remarks. Facebook fame is sure to follow.

Warnings: Don’t drink and Blabble. You could turn an embarrassing photo into a regrettable one. Domestic squabbles may enter a whole new dimension, particularly if someone says, “Don’t put words in my mouth!”
